The publisher of Ovation International, Dele Momodu, has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, paid $30,000 to each delegate during the 2022 PDP presidential primary.
Wike was defeated Atiku Abubakar in the primary election that brought an unending confusion in the main opposition party.
The former Rivers state governor rejected the result of the election and later worked against his party to ensure victory for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.
Dele Momodu was one of the PDP members who did not like Wike’s reaction to his defeat and has very outspoken about it.
Momodu, the publisher of Ovarian Magazine, told Channels Television on Monday that an ex-President told him not to bother about contesting for the presidential primary because Wike bought it over.
“A former president of Nigeria sent someone to tell me not to waste my money on the PDP 2022 primaries because Wike had raised the stakes to $30K per delegate. $30K multiple by 774 delegates,” the former presidential candidate said.
