The Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, has again snubbed Nigerian referees as part of 81 officials selected for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The world football governing body released the list of referees to officiate at the U-20 world cup during the seeding of teams for the group stage of the tournament, where it also announced the selection of 11 African referees, assistant referees and VAR officials for the competition.

The world soccer governing body selected 25 referees and 28 assistant referees for the biennial competition.

18 video match officials have also been selected for the tournament.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will compete at Argentina 2023 alongside three other African countries.

The draw ceremony will hold at FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland on Friday.

Argentina will host the competition from May 20 to June 11.
