How Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan Made Wike Governor Of Rivers – Dino Melaye

412

The battle for superemacy between the People’s Democratic Party governorship candidate in Kogi State, Senator Dino Melaye and Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike does not appear to be coming to an end anytime soon.

The two aggrieved parties seem ready to open a can of worms on each other by going Public with their irreconcilable political differences.

Recently, the Senator who once represented the Kogi West Senatorial District at the 8th Assembly, decided to unearth the efforts of the former Nigerian first lady, Patience Jonathan in making Nyesom Wike governor of Rivers State.

He revealed that Patience Jonathan spent money and used her connection to make Wike emerge as governor in Rivers State.

The former Lawmaker who stated this on Arise TV, described Wike as an expired drug that is about to be taken off the shelf.

RovingNaija recalls that Wike had in a media chat with Channels TV cautioned PDP about giving their Kogi state party ticket for the office of governor to Dino Melaye saying he does not have the capacity to run a state.

Wike revealed that if Dino Melaye got the Governorship ticket, the opposition party (PDP) should forget about the state election.

The former Lawmaker however won the ticket at the end of the party primary conducted last week Friday.

Referring to comments about being helped by Wike in the past, Melaye said, “Wike himself has been helped by the PDP and anything he is doing for any individual in the PDP is like giving back from what the PDP has done for him.

“Governor Peter Odili made him the chairman of his local government. So he has been helped by someone.

“After Odili helped him, Governor Amaechi made him chief of staff. Governor Amaechi nominated him to be minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Patience Jonathan (former first lady) spent her money and connections to make him the governor of River State,” he said.
