Video: Deadly Attack Rocks Jos: Gunmen Kill Scores, Injure Many In Plateau State

A deadly attack by unknown gunmen in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, has left scores of people dead and several others injured.

Eyewitnesses say the attackers, who arrived on motorcycles, opened fire on a crowd gathered at a popular junction near Plateau Private School around 7:00 p.m., causing panic and chaos.

Confirming the incident, Captain Chinonso Polycarp, Media Information Officer, said the attack occurred while residents were going about their daily activities. The number of deaths is yet to be ascertained, but many injured people have been taken to hospital.

Security personnel have been deployed to the area to prevent further violence, and investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible.
