A HARARE man forced entry to State House two days before Christmas demanding to see President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the second time he has done so within a few months.

The suspect Felix Togaraseyi Magureyi (40) was armed with various weapons including a sjambok when he stormed State House in May this year demanding to see Mnangagwa whom he alleged was his father.

Magureyi appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court on Tuesday facing a charge of trespassing after he again forced entry to State House on December 23.

He was remanded in custody to January 7 next year.

Allegations are that on December 23, this year at about 1300 hours, Magureyi went to State House, Harare, driving a Toyota Hilux Raider registration number AFU 0592.

Upon arrival, it is alleged that he parked his vehicle at the visitor’s entrance and confronted police officers demanding to see Mnangagwa.

It was not stated why he wanted to see Mnangagwa.

Magureyi allegedly forced entry to the premises after overpowering a police officer leading to his subsequent arrest.
