Members of the South-East caucus of House of Assembly caucus on the platform of Labour Party, on Saturday, July 13th, joined the call for the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

In a communique issued after addressing journalists in Awka, the Anambra state capital, the lawmakers, led by Hon. Jude Ummenajiego, say the unconditional release of Kanu will separate genuine agitators from criminals, and will douse insecurity in the South East.

They also called on state governors to implement financial autonomy for the State House of assembly in accordance with the constitution.
