FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has expressed unfamiliarity with the PDP’s planned National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
When asked about the convention, Wike said, “Have they given a date for Ibadan? I don’t know.” He also denied reports of planning a parallel convention, stating, “How can you say I’m planning? Planning to do what? I’m not aware that there is any convention in Ibadan.”
Wike’s comments come after the PDP announced its convention would hold on November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, and revealed a 110-member organizing committee. As a NEC member, Wike claimed he hadn’t been informed about the convention or invited to a NEC meeting.
