Kidnappers killed one of the victims abducted in Gaye village, in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The deceased, identified as Tarma Tsugnigo, and 11 other villagers were kidnapped from the community last month.
Eleven of the villagers were among over 50 kidnap victims rescued by operatives of the FCT police Command at the weekend.
The FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, explained that a gun duel between police operatives and the kidnappers claimed the life of a kidnap victim, Tama Jonathan.
According to the PPRO, Tama sustained injury during the rescue operation and died on the spot.
