The Chairman of Labour Party, Julius Abure, has said that he expects Nigerians to stand up and protect their mandates because it is their mandates that is about to be “stolen.”
Abure stated this at a press conference where he raised the alarm of widespread electoral malpractices across many polling units.
In his press conference, Abure said it is only results that are collated from polling units that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will be accepting.
He said; ‘’These manipulations were carried out under the watchful eyes and connivance of police officers at the various election units and INEC office. The decision of INEC to go ahead and announce this doctored results based on manufactured voting has defeated the efforts made by Nigerians to see that the electoral act as amended to allow for electronic transmission of results.
The Labour party and our presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will only accept results which reflects the actual voting results obtained at the polling units across the country.
The truth is that it is their (Nigerians) mandate that is about to be stolen and I expect the people to defend their mandate. That is my position. If there is a daylight robbery, there must be a remedy to it.”
