Multiple explosions have hit Maiduguri, Borno State capital, with reports of several people killed and many injured. The blasts occurred at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital gate around 6:45 p.m. and near the busy Maiduguri Monday Market.

Eyewitnesses say the explosions happened as Muslim faithful were breaking their Ramadan fast, adding to the chaos and panic in the area. The injured are being treated at Borno State Specialist Hospital, with reports of severe injuries.

Authorities are yet to comment on the incident or confirm casualty numbers. Security agencies are on the scene, and investigations are ongoing. The motive behind the blasts is currently unknown.
