Governor Monday Okphebolo of Edo state, on Tuesday, caused a scene when he went to the Edo State House of Assembly to present the state’s budget, following his inability to read out correctly the state’s 2025 appropriation bill.

Governor Monday Okphebolo  presentation took a humorous turn as he tried to pronounce the state budget which runs into billions of naira.

As he began to read the figures, he struggled to pronounce them accurately. After attempting to recite the numbers about three times, he finally admitted, “It is confusing me.”

This confession prompted laughter among the lawmakers, who were not accustomed to such a lighthearted moment during budget presentations.
