The Gombe State Police Command has arrested one Yayaji Shaibu, 27, for r3ping a 5-year-old girl in Akko Local Government Area of the state.
The spokesperson of the command, ASP Buhari Abdullahi paraded the suspect on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, alongside others arrested for various crimes in the state.
“On 15|12|2024 at about 0830hrs a complaint was made against one Yayaji Shaibu “m” of pindiga, aged 27yrs, that he lured one Amina Yaya, aged 5, to his parlor and had s3xual intercourse with her,” the PPRO stated.
“Upon receipt of the complaint the above-mentioned suspect was arrested and the victim was rushed to the cottage hospital for medical treatment and doctor confirmation.
“Furthermore, during the course of investigation the suspect confessed to the alleged crime and he will soon be charged to court for possible prosecution.”
