The Supreme Court has set aside the _status quo ante bellum_ order issued in the African Democratic Congress, ADC, leadership dispute.
The ruling effectively reinstates the David Mark-led leadership of the party, pending the determination of the substantive suit at the Federal High Court.
_Status quo ante bellum_ — Latin for “the state existing before the war” — had been used to freeze the party’s leadership structure while the case was ongoing. With the order now voided, the party reverts to the leadership in place before the interim directive.
The substantive matter challenging the party’s leadership continues at the Federal High Court.
