The Cherubim and Seraphim Church Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), yesterday, called on Nigerians to be patient with the Bola Tinubu Government, assuring that the economy will rebound and Naira will gain value.
The church made the call in Lagos yesterday in Ikeja during the announcement of its 56th Ascension Pilgrimage to Mount Horeb in Galilee City, Orile Igbon, Oyo State and one year ordination ceremony of His Grace, Dr. Prophet Emmanuel Adewale Abiodun Alogbo (JP), the Spiritual Father & Spiritual Head, Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Baba Aladura of the church). The programme will kick off on May 4 and end on May 11, 2025.
Conference Supervisor of the church, Dr. Joel Olayinka Adeniran who spoke on behalf of the church’s Spiritual Head, Dr. Emmanuel Alogbo said God has revealed to the church that the Bola Tinubu government will succeed if we allow it to succeed.
He said the church acknowledge the economic reality occasioned by physical and monetary policies of the government but it believe that the public must play their own part to get the country working and that business owners must avoid deliberate price hike. “Some people are taking advantage of the government policies and abusing them by raising prices arbitrarily which in turn is affecting millions of Nigerians. We believe that the government will succeed so; we must be patient with the President to allow the policies to go through.
He added: “Naira will gain values and the economy will be strengthened and our people will have gainful employment; and, we as a church will not fail in mitigating the challenges.
Speaking on insecurity in the country, Dr Adeniran said: “We commensurate with families who have experienced unfortunate incidences of kidnap and others. As a Church, we have recorded four incidences; a senior member of our pastoral team was kidnapped in his house and his wife was killed and one of his children was also kidnapped but we are not dampened, we are hopeful that this nation will come out of this and insecurity will be over and light will shine. We will continue to pray. We must pray for the government and our service men and women because they are the ones that are facing the challenges of combating insecurity.
“As citizens, we must do our part, we must give information to law enforcement agencies. We must say something when we see something and look after one another.
On the contribution of the church to the nation, he said: “As an indigenous charismatic Pentecostal Church, the role of the church has been impacting to this nation. We have over the time engaged in constant and sustainable intercessory prayers for the nation.
“On the economic development, the church have been able to galvanize financial resources and encourage many to come back home and invest, creating jobs for our youths. We are training our youth on skills.
“Last year we opened Nursery and Primary School at Galilee in addition to the Cherubim and Seraphim Collage in Ilorin, Kwara State. We are also planning to have Galilee University and Polytechnic because we need to train our people to tackle the future challenges economically. Our mission is clear: to spread the light of God and his love; nurture the spiritual lives of our members; and provide meaningful support to our wider community.”
Speaking on the programme, he said: “The significance of the Horeb Ascension cannot be overstated. It is a time for us to gather as one body in Christ, to seek divine guidance, and to experience the refreshing presence of the Holy Spirit, as Prophets and Prophetesses gather for spiritual retreat and rejuvenation. To this extent, we have launched and unveiled the Beulah Project as our strategic vision plan for the next phase of our development as a church, to meeting the present realities and challenges ahead of us.
Therefore, the theme for this year Horeb Ascension is tagged, “Double Glory”. This serves as an invitation to embrace the abundant blessings that God has in store for us. It is a clarion call for all of us to aim higher, to receive greater revelations, and to witness the extraordinary manifestations of the glory of God in our lives. As we journey through Horeb 2025, let us approach with open hearts, ready to receive double portions of His blessings in every area of our lives; spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
“We encourage every congregant to actively participate in the planned activities throughout the Ascension. Engage in the worship sessions, partake in the teachings, and immerse yourself in the fellowship that defines our beloved church and message Christ to all mankind. Let us collectively create an atmosphere of expectancy, where miracles and divine encounters are not only possible but inevitable.
“At this convocation, alters of fire will be raised. Night will turn to day for many destinies.”
