The police in Anambra have rescued a woman who has been allegedly maltreated by her daughter.
A statement by the command’s spokesperson, IKENGA TOCHUKWU, said the suspect, Ukamaka Udeugbo, has been arrested and presently undoing interrogation.
The statement also said the commissioner of police,mADEREMI ADEOYE, has directed the transfer of the case to the state CID and authorised the aged woman be handed over to the state ministry of women affairs.
A video had gone viral last week, showing the suspect allegedly beating the aged woman.
