Media personality Frank Edoho has stirred discussion online after sharing his views on infidelity and forgiveness in marriage.Edoho argued that when a husband forgives a wife who has cheated, it often breeds resentment rather than reconciliation.
According to him, women who cheat have usually become emotionally detached from the marriage long before the act occurs.
He suggested that at that point, a husband’s decision to forgive is often interpreted as weakness, which can deepen her disrespect for both him and the marriage.“If a wife cheats, asks for forgiveness, and the husband grants it, she is likely to continue cheating,” he wrote.
“She may also come to resent him for forgiving her and disrespect him in ways that make it clear she had emotionally left the marriage long before the infidelity.”
