The Central of Nigeria has announced its Monetary Policy Committee meeting schedule.

This is according to information obtained from CBN’s website on Tuesday.

Accordingly, the apex bank stated that the two-day meeting would be held from 20 March to 21 March 2023 in Abuja.

MPC is the highest policy-making committee of the Bank with the following mandates; Review economic and financial conditions in the economy; Determine appropriate policy stance in the short to medium term; Review regularly the CBN monetary policy framework and adopt changes when necessary.

The 290th MPC meeting notice came when Nigeria’s headline inflation rate reached 21.81 per cent in January amid rising energy, food costs and cashless policy implementation concerns.
