154

A recent press statement by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to address allegations of land and cash gifts from FCT Minister Chief Nyesom Wike to senior INEC officials .

The PDP claims Mohammed Kudu Haruna, Supervising National Commissioner for FCT, has admitted to receiving land gifts, raising concerns about potential institutional capture.

“The timing of these gifts is questionable,” says Comrade Ini Ememobong, PDP National Publicity Secretary. “INEC must prioritize accountability and transparency to restore public trust.”

The Commission has been urged to investigate and disclose the truth behind the allegations, involving top officials, including the INEC National Chairman.
