The statement, in its strategic drive, also announced the appointment of Paul Ejime, a seasoned journalist and public affairs analyst and Barr. Martin Okpaleke, a veteran lawyer as members of its Editorial Advisory Board

Paul Ejime

Paul Ejime, an author, journalist, and former war Correspondent is a Consultant on Media Development, Communications and Governance Issues including Peace & Security, and Elections. A Global Affairs Specialist with vast professional experience, he has worked as a Diplomatic Correspondent, Bureau Chief and Senior Editor for national and international news organizations including the French News Agency (AFP), News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), and the Pan-African News Agency (PANA), as well as a Stringer for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Voice of America (VOA).

Ejime has led corporate communication strategies for international organizations such as the ECOWAS/EU on Regional Peace & Security and Elections. He was Communication consultant to ECOWAS 2007-2010 and from 2011-2015, he led strategic communication deliveries to the World Health Organization’s African Programme for Onchocerciasis (River-blindness) Control (WHO/APOC) a pro-poor, multi-stakeholder health intervention programme that covered 31 endemic African countries.

Ejime was one of the 10 Nigerian journalists imbedded with the ECOWAS Ceasefire Monitoring Group, ECOMOG, on its maiden mission to Monrovia, as part of the regional initiative to end the bloody civil wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone. He has undertaken several professional study tours across the World, including to West and East Germany in 1989 before the Berlin Wall was brought down, and to the United States on a US Information Agency-sponsored Project in 1993 themed: “Decision Making in US Foreign Policy.”
