Suspected Ritualists Behead 14-Year-Old

The Jigawa State Police Command has launched an investigation into the m8rder of a 14-year-old almajiri in Gwaram Local Government Area of the state.

The body of the victim identified as Bashir Adamu, was discovered along Jikas-Dabaja village in Gwaram Local Government Area.

His remains were found with the head and private parts removed.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Shi’isu Adam, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday, March 14, 2025, said the teenager was k!lled by suspected ritualists.

The PPRO said relatives identified the victim and informed police that he had been missing for two days before the grim discovery.

“The police suspect that the boy was m8rdered for ritual purposes. We are making efforts to track down the perpetrators,” Adam said.

He assured the public that the command will thoroughly investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.
