South-East Govs Not Doing Enough To Secure Nnamdi Kanu’s release – Family

28

The family of the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has accused governors in the South East of not doing enough to secure his release.

Prince Emmanuel Kanu stated this while speaking on Friday in Umuahia during a memorial in honor of their late parents, HRM Eze Israel and Ugoeze Sally Kanu.

Emmanuel expressed disappointment over the governors’ lack of concrete action.

He alleged that the governors had not shown genuine commitment to securing Kanu’s freedom, questioning why they had failed to meet the conditions reportedly set by President Bola Tinubu for his release.

“South East governors are not doing enough to secure the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It’s either they are complicit or something else,” he said.

Prince Kanu further challenged the governors to seek an audience with the President, stating that their inaction raises concerns about their sincerity.

“The big question is: Why have they not met with Mr. President on Nnamdi Kanu? Information available to us is that Mr. President asked them to fulfill certain conditions,” he stated.
