The Rivers State House of Assembly has resolved to investigate the state’s finances during the six-month emergency rule under Sole Administrator Ibok-Ete Ibas. The decision was made during the assembly’s first plenary session after President Bola Tinubu reinstated the lawmakers, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and his deputy.
Key Demands
The lawmakers have also urged Governor Fubara to:
– Prepare the state budget
– Transmit the list of commissioners’ nominees for screening
