A former senator of Nigeria, Shehu Sani has said that the recent arrest of the suspended former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, by the DSS, will place a moral scoresheet on the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sani in a tweet, said: “The revelations that will come out of the Central Bank will be the moral scoresheet of the Buhari administration, and not his number of ‘cows that have not increased’ after eight years.”
Sani, also in the tweet, accused the immediate government of Buhari of withdrawing money from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, without recourse to National Assembly approval.
Part of the tweets read: “Buhari’s Government withdrew money from the CBN,spent it and then went to the National Assembly to seek for an approval of the money they have already spent. That was how the Country was governed.”
