An Abuja-based resident, Precious Emoefe Etadafemue, has raised an alarm over threat to his life and members of his family.

The father of four children alleges that he and other members of his household have been living in constant danger following disputes that resulted in a land tussle.

We gathered from the Delta state born man through his manager Mr.Felix Okoro, that the threat to life began following the acquisition of land from one Zakari Dantsoho on February 19, 2013

Part of the allegation reads:  “Since January 7, 2023, I have been living under a shadow of constant fear and danger. My family and I are victims of relentless persecution by Zakari’s family, following a land purchase from Zakari Dantsoho on February 19, 2013. For over a decade, I operated my bakery on this land without any issues. However, since early January 2023, we have faced unyielding harassment, threats, violence, and discrimination due to this land.”

We also gathered from the manager that the threats to life have also escalated to include warnings of violence, among others.
Our reporter, who spoke with Mr. Felix Okoro blamed the Nigerian security agencies for failing to provide him (Mr. Precious Emoefe Etadafemue)with adequate protection, expressing fears that some security operatives might be complicit in this whole scheme of things.

He said:We have received multiple credible threats from individuals associated with Zakari’s family. These threats, initially thought to be hollow, have escalated to severe warnings of violence, endangering my family’s safety and the existence of my bakery.”

I have witnessed and been subjected to extreme violence and torture against those sharing my identity or beliefs. These acts are systemic and widespread, causing numerous deaths in my community.”
