PDP: Anyanwu Not Barred From BoT, Remains Party’s Scribe – Aide
The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP secretary appears not yet over as the embattled secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu said he had not been barred from attending the party’s Board of Trustees, BoT meeting and still remains the party scribe.
In a statement issued by his media Aide, Ikenna Onuoha, described as malicious and false rumours being peddled on social media that the distinguished Senator has been barred from the BoT meeting.
Part of the statement reads: “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is setting the record straight: Distinguished Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has not been barred from attending Board of Trustees (BoT) meetings, contrary to circulating rumors.”
“These false claims, which have been erroneously published by some bloggers, allege that the decision was made during the last BoT meeting at Wadata Plaza, Abuja. However, the truth is that the BoT’s January 29, 2025, communique – spanning ten paragraphs – made no mention of such a decision.” The statement further stated.
Ikenna also said in the statement that there is a stay of execution by the Court of Appeal on the authenticity of the scribe of the party.
“Furthermore, the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, has granted a Stay of Execution Order, effectively restraining the respondent from enforcing the December 20, 2024, judgment in Enugu ¹. As a result, Senator Anyanwu remains the National Secretary of the PDP.”
“The party urges the public to disregard this fake news, which is likely part of a larger scheme by desperate politicians to create division within the PDP. Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu remains the authentic National Secretary until December 2025, and any attempts to undermine the court order will be considered contempt.”
