Amid transfer controversy, Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, has revealed that Victor Osimhen is in pain.
The Al-Wehda FC striker regretted that Osimhen, whose stay at Napoli Club remains in a frozen state, did not get the needed support he ought to have gotten from his Nigerian fans.
Ighalo said Osimhen made a mistake which any human can make. He advised Nigerians to take it easy with the CAF’s current best players.
On his X handle, on Sunday, Ighalo wrote, “No human being is perfect and we have all made mistakes in life, but seeing comments about this young man from his own country people makes me really sad, without even knowing what happened, I spoke to him and I can feel the pain in his voice, the way he’s been treated, this young man play with heart and pains for his country, Hmmm it’s well, he will definitely be back stronger, we learn everyday in life.”
Recall that Super Eagles 2013 African Cup winner, Brown Ideye, had advised Osimhen to accept the Saudi Arabia club offer.
Ideye argued that all players play to take care of family and not for trophies. He also reminded Osimhen that players’ football cycle is short.
