Okoli Returned As Community President-General, As Iloka Wins VP Slot

In a significant electoral event held today, Innocent Okoli has emerged as the winner of the Uruagu Community President-General election, securing 130 votes to lead the community for the upcoming term. Additionally, Mbazuluike Iloka was elected as Vice President-General, promising to support the President in bolstering leadership and development efforts across the 15 constituent communities.

The election, which drew 135 delegates from the 15 communities, was characterized by a peaceful and orderly process. The Uruagu BOT which served as the electoral committee announced the results after collating votes from the 135 delegates from the 15 communities within Uruagu who participated in the voting process.

Innocent Okoli, popularly known as Organiser, expressed gratitude to the community for their support. “This victory is a collective effort, and I am committed to serving with integrity and dedication. Together, we will work towards the progress and unity of Uruagu,” he said in his acceptance speech.

The PG who is known for his proactive character in fostering development in Uruagu has in his first tenure saw to the building of the Obi Uruagu Palace hall, attracted government’s interest to the Okpuno-eze – Akaboezem road, the new secretariat for the community which is still under construction, this and many more he has done

Mbazuluike Iloka, who clinched the vice-presidency, also conveyed his readiness to support the new administration’s initiatives. “I am honored to serve as Vice President General and look forward to collaborating with our president to address the needs of our community and foster growth,” he remarked.

The stakeholders of Uruagu Community and residents have praised the conduct of the election and are optimistic about the future under the new leadership.

With a combined focus on infrastructure, security, youth empowerment, and social welfare, the leadership team is expected to steer Uruagu towards a period of renewed development.

As the 15 communities unite under the new leadership, residents are hopeful that these elections mark the beginning of positive change and increased cooperation within Uruagu.
