The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended Fatai Quadri, a man who violently assaulted his wife, Rukayat Quadri, in their Illese-Ijebu residence on September 15, 2025. A viral video captured the disturbing incident, showing Quadri inflicting fist blows on his wife, leaving her with bodily injuries.
According to CSP Omolola Odutola, the state police spokesperson, the assault stemmed from a marital dispute fueled by allegations of infidelity. Investigations revealed that Quadri had transferred ownership of a jointly built 10-room en-suite apartment to another woman, provoking the violent attack.
Current Status
– The victim, Rukayat Quadri, is receiving medical treatment for her injuries.
– Fatai Quadri remains in police custody and will face charges in court once the investigation is concluded.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, has reiterated the command’s zero tolerance for domestic violence.
