Obi Vs Tinubu: Peter Obi Tenders Evidence For Two More States As Tribunal Adjourns

Peter Obi and Labour Party has indicated that they had 18 states forms EC8A to tender through the bar but today, Sokoto and Kogi States added to make it 20 states tendered so far when the Tribunal adjourned proceedings to 2.00 pm tomorrow, June 6.

Valerie Azinge, SAN, continued from where she left off before the Justice Haruna Tsammani-led panel of five justices called for a five-minute recess.

Having tendered just seven local government areas of Sokoto State while promising to tender more as INEC provides, Valarie went ahead to tender forms EC8A from 21 LGAs in Kogi State. As usual, the four tag team of Respondents – INEC, Tinubu, Shettima and APC – objected to the tendering of the documents and customarily reserving further argument till presentation of final address. The Tribunal in characteristic fashion since the tendering exercise began, admitted the documents in evidence and market them appropriately as exhibits.

The Tribunal adjourned for tomorrow after an evidently hectic session. PO and LP are diligently leaving no stoned unturned in proving their petition beyond every reason doubt. Don’t be surprised if they continue with tendering more documents from more states in evidence tomorrow, after all they said that they were challenging INEC results in all states of the Federation in their petition.

Both presidential candidate of LP and his running mate, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed said they won the election and would prove it. From everything that has been happening in court since last Thursday, they weren’t bluffing.
