Nigeria Records 574 New Cases Of Covid-19 As Death Toll Hits 1,761

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday, February 15, 2021,  said that the country recorded 574 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

According to the centre, 1,816 infected persons recovered in the last 24 hours, however stated that  8 new fatalities were recorded.

20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Monday.

Kwara State recorded the highest new cases with 98, followed by Lagos with 81 cases.

Also, Edo recorded 59 new cases while Ondo State reported 44 fresh cases.

Others are FCT (41), Kano (34), Ogun (33), Kaduna (29), Osun (28), Enugu (23), Rivers (18), Delta (16), Akwa Ibom (15), Bauchi (12), Imo (10), Borno (8), Niger (8), Kebbi (7), Nasarawa (5) Gombe (3), and Ekiti (2).

At least,  a total of 123,009 have recovered from the 146,928 infected persons.

However, 1,761 patients have lost their lives to the disease.

There are now 22,158 active cases across the country.
