Nigeria Is More Secured Under Buhari’s Administration – Femi Adesina Insists

211

Despite the worsening insecurity in the country, the special assistant to the president on Media, Femi Adesina has insisted Nigeria is more secured under president Muhammadu Buhari’s eight years tenure than any previous administration.

The situation according to Adesina would have worsened if it had not been for Buhari’s input and certain measures he put in place to tame the tide of insecurity.

The presidential image maker stated this in an interview on Channels Television on Thursday.

He revealed that Buhari’s administration has greatly improved security in Nigeria and surpassed former President Goodluck Jonathan on security.

Adesina emphasized that Nigeria’s Armed Forces moved from seventh to fourth place rating in Africa because of the President’s efforts in equipping the military, training and boosting morale.

“In terms of arming the military, this administration has done well because if it did not, by now, Nigeria would have been overrun by so many insecurity challenges, banditry, insurgency and terrorism, ” Adesina stated.

Adesina further explained that Buhari’s intervention made Nigeria safer in the past eight years of his administration.

He highlighted the improvement in the security situation in Nigeria by comparing the period of 2015 when bombs went off daily in Abuja, and people couldn’t go to recreational centers without being searched, to the present, where there are celebrations even in Borno.
