President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday nominated Abbas Balarabe as a ministerial replacement for the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.

Balarabe’s nomination was announced in a letter read by the Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio, at the plenary on Tuesday.

Recall that the 10th Senate in August failed to confirm El-Rufai as minister, while several others were nominated over petitions filed against him.

Here are some things to know about El-Rufai’s replacement.

– Balarabe is the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government.

– The ministerial nominee was born on the 5th of February 1958.

– Balarabe was given birth to in Kachia, Kaduna State Local Government Area.

– He attended Kofar Kuyambana Primary School (Town School Number One Zaria) from 1964 to 1970.

– The ministerial nominee proceeded to Barewa College Zaria from 1971 to 1975.

– Katsina College of Arts, Science and Technology, Zaria from 1976 to 1978

– He did an Interim Joint Matriculation Board Certificate (IJMB) (General Certificate of Education Advanced Level) in Nov 1977.

– Balarabe attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1978 to 1981.

– He studied B.sc Political Science from the institution

– The ministerial nominee obtained an M.sc Political Science in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1984 to 1986.
