– Date and Location: The operation took place on Friday, September 26, around 4 p.m. along the Babanla-Oreke-Oke-Ode route.
– Suspects Arrested: Two male suspects, Dan-Teni Haruna and Rabiu Ibrahim, both from Saliku in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State, were arrested in connection with the cannabis smuggling.
– Truck and Exhibits: The truck and seized items are in police custody as investigations continue.¹ ²

In a related development, three suspects were apprehended over their involvement in the August 8 attack on Babanla. The suspects include:
– Mohammed Abubakar and Hussain, both from Tsaragi
– Tukur Ibrahim, a notorious kidnapper

The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo, commended the team for their effective collaboration and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining security across the state. He warned that Kwara will not be a safe haven for criminal elements.
