Kwankwaso Breaks Silence On defection To APC

38

The National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has denied reports that he said President Bola Tinubu asked him to rejoin the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Kwankwaso also denied saying he would prefer to leave politics than return to the APC.

In a post via his X handle on Saturday, the former Kano State governor described the reports as false.

According to Kwankwaso: “My attention has been drawn to a statement purportedly stating my position on the recurring political realignments in Nigeria.

“I wish to categorically state that such statements are false, unfounded, and products of political mischief.

“I have refrained from commenting on contemporary political events and I will continue to do so for the time being.

“In this regard, I urge the public to only engage statements that come from my public handles and other official sources.”
