Let’s get to meet you.
My name is Angus Maduka a native of Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra state.
How long have you been in Music?
I started music more than three decades ago, sometimes in the early 1990s.
What genres of music are you into?
I am into highlife music
What does music mean to you?
Music means so much to me, music is my life, it gives me joy
How would you rate, access the kind of music in vogue?
The music is good, danceable, although some don’t have good and meaningful lyrics
How are you reaching out to the audience in terms of promoting your music?
I’m reaching out to them through social media, radio stations, television and other physical advertisements like billboard, flyers, stickers & town crier
What message are you passing through your music?
The message I speak in my music is for the youths to stop drugs and other fraudulent activities and they should always cut their coat according to their size, and to stop fake life and don’t promise what they can’t do in reference to my song CHINELO
With the advent of the internet, how has this medium helped spread the music industry?
With the introduction of the internet worldwide, musicians can reach out to every individual even in the comfort of their homes
What message do you have for upcoming music stars?
My message is for them to put God first, work so hard and focus on what their doing because at the end of the tunnel, there’ll be light
Can you share with us some of the challenges you face as a musician, especially when producing your latest album?
The constraints are finances because production of music takes a lot of money, if you have the money, you’ll get the best singers, instrumentalists and producers and also finances to shoot a video and promote it.
