John Mahama on Tuesday took the oath of office as Ghana’s new president in a ceremony attended by world leaders.
John Mahama returned to the office he held eight years ago following his commanding victory in December elections.
Mahama, 66, defeated the ruling-party’s candidate amid voter anger over economic hardship exacerbated by Ghana’s 2022 sovereign-debt default.
Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, attended Mahama’s oath taking ceremony.
