Fire Razes Ogun Commissioner’s House

The residence of the Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Samson Odedina, was on Thursday gutted by fire.

The house located at Kemta Idi-Aba Area of Abeokuta was said to have caught fire during the day.

The cause of the fire incident could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

Our correspondent learnt that firefighters put efforts in top gear to put the situation under control.

However, the inferno succeeded in razing down the building and everything therein.

Confirming the incident, Odedina appreciated God that no life was lost in the incident, even as properties worth millions of naira were destroyed.

Director of the Ogun State Fire Service, Fatai Adefala, said the fire could be traced to the kitchen.
