FIFA Shocked By Disparity In Nigeria, Kenya Mini Stadiums Built With Same $1.2m Budget

1435

FIFA officials have expressed shock and disbelief after comparing two recently constructed $1.2 million mini stadiums in Nigeria and Kenya. Both projects were budgeted at the same $1.2 million, yet the outcomes appear worlds apart.

The Nigerian stadium, already completed and commissioned, appears smaller and less equipped, raising serious concerns about construction quality, cost transparency, and value for money. In contrast, the Kenyan version, still under construction, already features modern facilities, improved seating, and a more advanced design.

FIFA representatives described the disparity as “unbelievable”, suggesting that project standards and expenditure oversight may need to be reviewed. The comparison has raised questions about how both projects could share the same budget, sparking concerns about accountability and transparency in sports infrastructure development.
