FBI Seeks Public’s Help In Capturing Nigerian Fugitive Olumide Adebiyi Adediran

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, a Nigerian national wanted for violating his conditions of release. Adediran fled the Central District of Illinois in December 2001, shortly before his federal trial was set to begin, and has been a fugitive for over two decades.

Charges Against Adediran

Adediran faces multiple charges, including¹:
– Bank Fraud: Allegedly attempting to retrieve funds from a deposited fraudulent check at a bank in Champaign, Illinois.
– Identification Document Fraud: Using stolen information of US citizens to open bank and charge accounts.
– Credit Card Fraud: Engaging in fraudulent transactions using unauthorized credit cards.

The FBI is seeking the public’s help in locating Adediran, who is considered a high flight risk.
