Approximately eight individuals have reportedly died, with fifty-two (52) others sustaining degrees of injuries in a tragic accident in Yobe State.
The travellers were reportedly en route to the renowned Potiskum cattle market when one of the trucks lost control.
An eyewitness who confirmed his name to Channels Television as Adamu Hassan, said the deceased persons have been transported to the Potiskum Specialist Hospital, while the injured are currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Sabon Garin, Nangere, as of the time of this report.
Although the officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state have yet to confirm the incident, personnel from both the FRSC and the State Emergency Management Agency were observed assisting in the evacuation of the victims to a nearby healthcare facility.
