The Executive Chairman of Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Idris Balogun Oluomo, has declared a state of emergency on roads across the LCDA, launching a comprehensive rehabilitation exercise aimed at improving transportation and easing residents’ hardship. This major infrastructural intervention reflects the Chairman’s commitment to restoring the council’s road network and enhancing community life quality.

Scope of Rehabilitation
The project covers all five wards of Egbe-Idimu LCDA, with respective councillors overseeing works for efficient coordination:
– *Ward A*: Jemi Alade Street, Phidel Street (Isheri) – Hon. Bankole Olumide Olatunde
– *Ward B*: Lisa Street, Akinwunmi Street, Kosemani Street (Idimu) – Hon. Jimoh Monsuru Olatunde
– *Ward C*: Prince Tunde Balogun Street, Abeokuta Street (Idimu) – Hon. Kehinde Hassan Anike
– *Ward D*: Omoboriowo Street (Egbe), Mudashiru Street (Agodo) – Hon. Sanni Rasheed Oluwasegun
– *Ward E*: Lamina Street, Opeloyeru Street (Egbe Liasu) – Hon. Bolaji Jacob Olatunde

Works include road grading, drainage clearing, pothole patching, and resurfacing where needed. The council’s technical team has begun assessments for urgent interventions, part of an ongoing phased maintenance plan.

Chairman’s Statement
Hon. Balogun emphasized responsive governance and people-centred development, urging citizen cooperation for quality execution. “The condition of our roads is critical… Declaring a state of emergency brings lasting relief,” he said, expecting improved movement, commerce, and environmental cleanliness upon completion.
