Nigeria now has a total of 155,657 infections from the deadly covid-19 pandemic. This is the figured released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday, February, 28.
The centre also announced that 240 new infections were recorded.
The new cases which indicate a significant decline compared with the figures reported in the previous months, take the total confirmed cases in the country to 155,657.
According to the NCDC’s report, the fresh cases were recorded in 13 States of the federation.
An analyses of the figure on a State-by-State analysis revealed the following; Anambra (85), Lagos (82), Osun (17), Ogun (10), Kwara (9), FCT (8), Kano (7), Abia (6), Ekiti(5), Borno (4), Edo (2), Bayelsa (2) Kaduna (2) and Rivers(1).
Meanwhile, a total of 512 COVID-19 patients recovered and had been discharged from various isolation facilities across Nigeria.
“Our discharges today includes 170 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines,” NCDC explained.
