The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) latest figure on Nigeria’s covid-19 infections says the country recorded a total of 1,138 new cases as at wednesday, February, 3rd, 2021.
1,106 patients were discharged after recovering in the last 23 hours, according to the centre
The NCDC said the discharges included 476 community recoveries in Lagos State and 121 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Wednesday.
Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 377.
The FCT recorded 172 new cases while Plateau State recorded 86 new cases.
In addition, Edo State recorded 60 new infections while 47 new cases were detected in Osun State.
Others are from Nasarawa (41), Imo (40), Rivers (36), Niger (32), Oyo (32), Borno (29), Kaduna (27), Delta (18), Kwara (17), Cross River (9), Ekiti (8), Bauchi (7), Ogun (7), Sokoto (6), and Bayelsa (3).
The total number of confirmed cases is now 134,690.
So far, 108,657 recoveries and 1,618 fatalities have been recorded.
