COVID-19: Nigeria Now Has A Total Of 121,566 As 964 New Cases Were Recorded


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday, January 24, 2021, said that the country recorded 964 new Covid-19 Infections, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 121,566.

According to the agency, 18 states and Abuja account for the fresh cases.

The Centre further disclosed that 2 persons died from complications while 1,327 persons recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres across the country on Sunday.

“Our discharges today includes 774 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.”

The NCDC said Lagos State recorded 360 infections, FCT-88 cases, Ogun-73, while Imo reported 72.

Others are; Kaduna (67), Plateau (57), Abia (41), Osun (41), Rivers (32), Kano (26), Niger (24), Benue (23), Edo (20), Cross River (20), Akwa Ibom (8), Nasarawa (6), Zamfara (6), Ekiti (6) and Jigawa (4).
