Covid-19: Nigeria Hits Highest Daily Infection Of 1,964 New Cases

Nigeria has hit its highest daily infection of 1,964 new cases of the deadly pandemic, covid-19, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The centre revealed that the new infections were recorded in 23 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with Lagos recording the highest number of cases of 824, and Abuja recording 246.

A breakdown of states affected are as follows:  Plateau (166), Kaduna (128), Ogun (76), Nasarawa (74), Anambra (69), Edo (50), Rivers (45), Ondo (44) Niger (40) and Oyo (38).

Other states are Adamawa (35), Kano (31), Akwa Ibom (27), Gombe (19), Kwara (13), Ekiti (12), Delta (6), Kebbi (6), Bauchi (5), Ebonyi (4), Osun (3) and Zamfara (1)

In its update, 7 persons were recorded dead, while 989 patients recovered and have been discharged.
