Members of Just & Chris foundation recently donated gift items to Precious Pearls Orphanage in Egbeda Alimosho Council, Lagos.
This is part of activities commemorating this year’s Children’s Day and as part of efforts aimed at showing love and care to the Nigerian child.
The gifts donated include food items, toiletries, provisions, clothes, educational and Christian books.
Speaking on behalf of the management, founder Precious Pearls Orphanage, Hannah Omeiza appreciated the founder of Just & Chris foundation Teresa Chioma Obasi Nwaubani for the donation.
She added that it has been a while a party was organised to celebrate the children as a result of the economic challenges in the country.
Omeiza noted that this would be an unforgettable event for the orphanage, especially the children.
She said that lack of care and support has led to the closure of some orphanages in recent times and appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to support, as this will keep orphanages afloat in caring for the children.
Nwaubani assured the orphanage of continuous support as caring for orphans and needy children is in line with the vision and mission of the foundation.
Based in the United States of America, Just & Chris Foundation believes that charity begins at home and as such, there’s need for Nigerians in diaspora to support the government in impacting the lives of the needy and the society at large.
