A joint team of security operatives, comprising the police and the military, have rescued two of the kidnapped workers of the United States Consulates.
Commissioner of Police in Anambra state, ECHENG ECHENG confirmed this while addressing journalists at the command’s headquarter
He also noted that operations are still ongoing and assured that further details would be communicated.
The two workers were part of a seven man convoy who were abducted on Tuesday along the Atani-Osamala road in Ogbaru Local Government Area of the state.
