Ex-governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, has announced he would not be contesting for the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship ticket ahead of the election on November 11.
Ihedioha announced this on Tuesday in a letter dated March 27, informing the PDP national leadership of his “personal sacrifice” for a “consensus candidate” by the party.
This is coming after the former governor was screened and cleared a few days ago by the PDP to contest the party’s primary.
Ihedioha said that as he turned 58 on March 24 he had cause to reflect on several things including the state of the PDP.
