Nothing pleases the ears like soft, rosy promises, and nothing squeezes the face like broken promises, especially when they come from pretentious, graveyard-temperature-like and soft-spoken fellows. Bet me, one man just deceived Nigeria and scandalously sold out, big time. His name is Professor Mahmood Yakubu!

The BVAS noise was a scam after all. All the assurances of uploading results directly and electronically were mere charades sold in the black market of deceit that eclipsed an opprobrious handshake with the Devil behind closed doors? Election rigging has never been obvious in Africa. The more Yakubu promised to be a fair umpire the more he got ready to do the bidding of his paymaster in the black market.

What of the spreadout for persecuting the LP? Detractors and mischief makers who insulted the whole country, thinking they were attacking Peter Obi, have taken a U-turn, now begging Obidients to vote for them at the Guber levels this Saturday. Now that Peter Obi and Labour Party have taken an unprecedented sweep across the country, vote buyers have become vote beggars!

All of a sudden we are no longer four people tweeting in a room. Sanwo-Olu is begging, Omo-Agege is begging, Wike is begging, Oshiomhole is begging, Okowa’s daughter is begging, MC Oluomo is begging, Soludo is begging, Yahaya Bello is begging, Ihedioha is begging, Uzodimma is begging, Umahi is begging, Tinubu is begging – they are going from church to church, market to market, village to village, even door to door – asking for votes from the same people they insulted and stole their votes by manipulating figures, threatening, attacking LP voters and shedding blood all over the country.

The heat is now on and the contract is smouldering and blistering the hands of the rigging contractors. While we wait for the court to do the needful and save what remains of the face of Nigeria from Yakubu and APC Shameless Enterprises at the presidential level, we already know that the LP sensation is on ground to fruit again into what will be described as the most supersonic political party tsunamic takeover in the African scenario.

Dear Obidients, acceleration continues. Let us retire more politicians of the old order and install more that would be real partners in progress in the envisaged New Nigeria. Those who called us Obidiots will be shown to the whole world as the real Idiots!
