Amanuke Indigenes Resident In Lagos Commend Soludo, Prays For NUJ Chairman, Odogwu

Amanuke Development Union (ADU) Lagos Branch, has
appreciated the Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration in Anambra state for flagging off the construction of Amansea-Ebenebe- Ugbenu-Ugbene road, with a spur to Awba Ofemmili road , all in Awka North Local Government Area.

Amanuke people also commended Governor Soludo for the pace of work on the road and most of other roads flagged off recently, even as they called for its completion in due time.

ADU Lagos Branch made the commendation through their Chairman, Mr Chinedu Samuel Egwuonwu, Onwa when they paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Anambra state council ,Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu PhD at the Godwin Ezeemo International Press Center, NUJ Secretariat, Awka.

Mr Egwuonwu who is the CEO Skailite Stores Nigeria limited Lagos while describing Awka North as one of the major food baskets of Anambra state, pointed out that if the present government of Professor Soludo will commission and complete all the major roads in the area, that food will be surplus in the state, and population in Awka South and other major cities in Anambra will drastically reduce as many people will love to relocate to Awka North because of good things the area is blessed with.

The Amanuke Development Union Lagos branch Chairman, Mr Egwuonwu appealed that the Amansea, Ebenebe- Ugbenu- Ugbene, and Awba Ofemmili road be completed this time and should not be abandoned in certain stage as done by two immediate past administrations of former Governor Peter Obi and Willie Obiano that respectively commissioned same road and later abandoned it on the long run. He though expressed hope that the present administration of Soludo will be different.

He also pleaded with the state government to also intervene on Isuaniocha- Urum-Amanuke, and Achalla roads to reduce the sufferings of people in the area and give them easy access to evacuate their farm produce for food sufficiency across the state.

Speaking, the Secretary General of Amanuke Development Union Lagos branch, and CEO Great Shedon Integrated limited, Mr Okechukwu. S. Okeke while congratulating Dr Odogwu on his victory as the NUJ Anambra state Chairman said that they visited to identify with him as a great son of Amanuke who has been representing the community well in various frojts, wishing him more success and upliftment in all his endeavour.

Contributing, former Vice Chairman of ADU Lagos Branch/ CEO Micro Investment limited, Mr Michael Mmekwe and former Secretary General of ADU Lagos branch/ President Ejibright Group, Mr Ejike King-Ejike commended Dr Odogwu for always bearing his community and local government in mind and helping to attract some developments to the area, assuring that they will always support him to make sure he succeeds in his present position as the Anambra NUJ Chairman, even as they prayed for peace and unity in Amanuke for speedy development of the community.

Responding, the Chairman of Anambra NUJ, Dr Odogwu thanked his people for deeming it feat to felicitate with him, promising to continue to make Amanuke community and the entire Awka North Council Area proud, and called for unity among the community members in Amanuke and Awka North in general as according to him no society succeeds or develops without peace.

Other members of the group present at the event during which an award of excellence was presented to the Anambra state NUJ Chairman, Dr Odogwu were the Vice Chairman/Dukason Global Resources limited, Mr Nduka Austin Ejiofor , Welfare Officer, Mr Felix Maduka Nkemdilim, and a member, Mr Akalachi Nweke.
